I enjoy Huntsville, Texas.
Huntsville, Texas plays hosts to our federal prison system and is well known for serving up the highest level of justice (the death penalty). If you pass through Huntsville, you will certainly notice the many “wards” that play host to those serving time. So you might be asking…what is to like?
Nestled just south of the small city is the Huntsville State Park. The park’s main attractions are the loblolly and shortleaf pine trees that surround Lake Raven and the best time to visit this gem is during the week. I decided to visit on Tuesday, November 4th – presidential election day. The place was EMPTY!
I hiked for 3 hours and didn’t run across a single person. Sometimes solitude can re-energize the soul and clear the head. The place was beautiful. I experienced armadillos, deer, squirrels, and a few giant green grasshoppers.
Another reason to visit Huntsville is for the people. Adobe occasionally hires me to provide software training to the area’s educational professionals. In this week’s case I am providing Photoshop, Acrobat, and InDesign training to an enthusiatic group of educators. They are generous, cheerful, and have a zest for learning new materials. Simply put…they are great fun to work with.

That is great that you get to go to Huntsville for Adobe training. It really is a beautiful place and you are lucky that you get to go there for work.
