Windows 7 and Vista both shipped with the “Snipping Tool.” I loved the Snipping Tool in Vista, but the love affaire quickly ended when the tool failed over-and-over again to launch. This is fixed in Windows 7.
The Snipping Tool offers 4 kinds of screenshots:
- Windows Snip
- Rectangular Snip
- Full-Screen Snip
- and Free-Form Snip
You can also use the Snipping Tool to edit the screenshot via the pen, highlighter, and eraser tools.
To launch the Snipping tool, click on the Windows 7 icon
and type “Snipping” in the search box. Click on the “Snipping Tool” option. The tool can also be found in the Start menu under the “Accessories.”
